My writing partner and muse is my Cairn terrier puppy, Smudge Alpin MacRuff. He's full of energy and is always making me laugh. Terriers are so smart!
I knew by the time I was 12 years old I wanted to be an author and a professional artist. Like most writers, I've always been an avid reader andI think it's a natural progression to want to create your own stories to share.
You can see my passion for Celtic mythology shines through in most of my books. Celtic history, food and animals are other topics frequently appearing. I'm proud to have ancestors from Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales and France.
When I'm not writing I'm learning how to refashion clothes, creating junk journals, and learning (ever, so slowly) digital art.

When I was in middle school, I started doing graphite drawings and worked my way up to watercolours and gouache as an adult.
Later on, I tried photography. I haven't learned the details of my camera settings but I've managed to take some nice photos. It's just another way to be creative and its fun. You can find my work at Fine Art America for sale. My art influences have been Beatrix Potter, Tasha Tudor, Julie Bell and Boris Vallejo.
I've done a few watercolour commissions, had my work locally exhibited and won a blue ribbon at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo when I was in high school.
