How it all started...
Like most writers, I was a voracious reader. By the age of twelve I knew I wanted to be a writer and artist I wanted to be the person who created the magic, on the page to transport the reader like my favourite authors always do for me.
Writing Influences
My love of things paranormal probably started with watching the television series Dark Shadows and Bewitched. Later, I began to learn about Biblical supernatural events. The legends of King Arthur and Celtic mythology, history and natural remedies also interest me.
When I learned about my Scottish and English ancestry it became personal, richer in meaning. Clan MacGregor, Clan Crawford, as well as the royal lines of England, Scotland, and the Carolingian Dynasty. I was quite surprised.
My love of tea time turned into my first cookbook, The Scottish-English Texan: 56 Teatime Recipes.
